Does anyone know of an inexpensive means to measure AC current (110VAC) from 0 -
15 A. I have an 'hc11 application where I need to measure this without a lot of
hardware overhead (minimum space requirements: 4"X4"X2" box, containing a
circuit board as well. I've thought of using a torroid coil arrangement but
maybe a more expensive solid state device is indicated. Thanks in advance.

I have good results with current sensors from Coilcraft.
The CS60-010 produces approx 20mV across a 10 ohm load @ 750W.
The part is radial leaded, about .75 inch square, .25 thk. It has a hole thru
the middle for the wire to be monitored. They also have a PC mount version with
similar specs, but it is larger (about 1x1x1.5 inch).
